Intro

Who Are You People?

We're technology students at Niagara College of Applied Arts and Technology in the Niagara Region, Ontario, Canada. More specifically, we're students in one of the following programs:

What's the difference between Technologists and Technicians? Well, the short answer is "Co-op" but Technology courses are generally more challenging than the equivalent Technician courses.

What is this site?

This site is a resource site for students, run by students.

If you're a student in the program, please make use of the Rocket Surgeons Forums and / or the Rocket Surgeons Jabber IM service. We can probably answer any questions you have about the program, specific courses, the College or the Niagara Region. If you have other questions, you can always ask - if we don't know the answer, we might know somebody who does.

Why Rocket Surgeons? And what the heck is a Rocket Surgeon, anyway?

You can blame Larry Beattie for this one. Phrases such as "Now I'm no Rocket Surgeon, but..." were fairly common in many of our first year courses, mostly courtesy of Larry. On a whim, I registered the domain name and set up this website late last school year. As for what a Rocket Surgeon is... well, nobody really seems to know. But Rocket Surgery is harder than it looks.
